Brazilian Air Force plans to record UFO sightings / make them public

Brazil is no stranger to UFO sightings and reports, including the first modern abduction case (Boas, São Francisco de Sales, 1957), rural towns terrorized  by ufonauts (Vigia, 1977), and a fleet of objects over the skies of São Paulo that led to the scrambling of Air Force jets (1986). Now the BBC reports that the land of Antonio Villas Boas has ordered their Air Force to “officially record any sighting of unidentified flying objects,” and to make those records available to researchers; including those seeking evidence of extraterrestrial visitations.

While the Air Force will not be conducting any investigations of their own, instead limiting their activities to data collection, this news should prove encouraging to investigators with an interest in Latin American and Brazilian reports.
