Bigfoot Every Day
Billboard heading North on South First. Will I see her again? Every day for the past six months I’ve seen her on my way to work. Her round hairy bosom and bounding wide stride juxtaposed next to the motionless sleek backside of a Cylon “Number Six” clone. In this odd billboard I’ve seen at 3 locations around Austin the advertisement’s designers have turned Patty into a “Patsy for Hair Removal,” hawking “the latest in medical and cosmetic services as well as relaxing spa treatments.” Of course, as much as the barebacked blond temptress reminds me of BSG actress Tricia Helfer the very name of the Serenity Creek Spa conjures sultry imagery of the same named sci-fi flick’s mysterious “River Tam” played by actress Summer Glau. Alleged Photos and Footage of China UFO
There has been a lot of media attention for the news reports of a UFO over China causing authorities to shut down an airport. Many photographs and some video footage are circulating and being ascribed to the sighting reports. I love stories like this. Things falling from the sky like bullets from God. Thankfully these projectiles didn’t hit any human targets. Google Spams ANOMALY Magazine Not too long ago the PO Box for ANOMALY Magazine began getting spammed by multiple snail-mailings from Google.com offerring us discount coupons for use in their online adwords advertising service. What surprised us were the numbers of names and position titles that their addressing system included in the address lines which ranged from Programming Director to Paranormal Investigator. But the one that truly caught our attention (and which obviated how they had harvested names and titles from this site’s content) was marked for the attention of Thomas Muthee … WITCH HUNTER !! Air Force Recruitment Bus for Elementary School Kids Last week I got quite a shock on my way out from my day-job’s parking garage. What should be staring straight at me but a big new bright blue U.S. Air Force recruitment bus. It was parked right alongside Waterloo Park on Trinity Street where many visiting tour buses park temporarily while their occupants generally tour the Capitol complex which is two blocks west of (behind) this camera shot. But I’m not used to seeing military recruitment buses among the tour-busloads of folks who are usually either an elderly lot or bunch of school kids (often dressed up in matching colored shirts to more easily spot them in a crowd). To promote the little day-job shindig she’d created a flyer with a picture of Star Trek’s Jean Luc Picard all Borged-out with the caption, “Mind Meld with Miles.” This was of course a gentle ribbing at my being such a brainy SciFi kind of guy, being into UFOs and whatnot.
